They came to us with a category-defying product and a clear mission: to cut through the noise of traditional pre-workouts and deliver energy faster, smarter, and without the bulk or bloat. The challenge? Build a brand that feels as innovative, disruptive, and performance-driven as the product itself—while keeping it grounded, credible, and undeniably cool. Our job was to take that spark and build a full-blown identity system that could go toe-to-toe with the fitness world’s biggest names.

Designing a mark that captures the Surge

While the core logo came to us already in development, we used it as a launchpad to build something bigger. With its custom type and hidden lightning bolt, the wordmark feels sleek, powerful, and full of energy—just like the gum itself. It set the tone for the rest of the identity: fast, bold, no-nonsense. But for us, a logo’s never the full story. The real magic happens when everything else starts to click into place.

Assets designed for speed, clarity, and impact

To take the brand further, we built a full visual system around the logo—giving Surge a toolkit that’s as flexible as it is unforgettable. Think: high-voltage colour combos (purple and red), sharp patterns, and gritty textures that amp up the intensity.

We created bespoke, high-impact imagery that breaks away from the typical stock photo look—tailored visuals that reflect the energy, edge, and personality of the Surge brand. On top of that, we crafted custom 3D product renders, allowing us to create playful, gum-infused graphics and showcase the product long before it was ready to hit shelves. These renders gave the brand a head start in marketing, launch teasers, and early stockist conversations.

Using lightning-inspired motion effects, we built in visual cues that link straight back to energy, speed, and performance.
