Reimagining an iconic Brisbane ice cream brand for a fresh chapter
Lick Ice Cream is a Brisbane icon, best known for crafting the famous Ekka sundaes enjoyed by locals every year. With new ownership and big ambitions—including a major pitch to get stocked in Woolworths—Lick came to us for a fresh brand identity that kept the heart of the original but made it supermarket-ready. We created a playful new logo, bold packaging for their flagship flavours, and promotional assets to help them launch with confidence. The result? A nostalgic favourite, modernised for a whole new audience.
We designed a custom wordmark that’s full of character—from a tongue-shaped ‘L’ to an ice-cream-scoop ‘i’ and a cheeky bowl hidden in the ‘k’. It’s simple, memorable, and perfectly on-brand.
We built out the brand identity
With the logo as the starting point, we developed a visual style that’s fun, confident, and a little nostalgic. Colour accents, playful type, and a distinctive tone bring the brand to life across every touchpoint.
We rolled it out with packaging & promo
We designed new tubs for Lick’s four flagship flavours and created promotional assets for Woolworths’ online store—giving the brand a standout look both in the freezer and on screen.
We helped set the stage for a big launch
The rebrand gave Lick the confidence to pitch big—and it paid off. They’re now stocked across Queensland and expanding fast, with new stores opening and a whole new fanbase scooping them up.
